Time for another update! Its been way too long but that's seems to be a trend. We have been pretty busy here in Montana. We celebrated Christmas here at home and had a pretty good time. Just missing that special person. So the holidays, birthdays and anniversary will just have to be celebrated next year. Did I mention I am ready for the year to be over. :) I would have to say there are some pretty amazing people out there who are always willing to help me out and those that remind me i am loved and can do this. Thank you to all those amazing people. I will never be able to thank you enough or repay you for all your kindness. Now there are those few comments I get that drive me nuts but I usually look past them. I figure people just don't know what to say to me..maybe?!? Like "Don't worry the year will go fast". I have spent a year apart I just have a little more responsibility this time. It usually comes from someone that is not in the military and has never had to do it. Trust me I have some friends that have been through it and I am totally love talking to them and just hearing their support. I also get the "your tough it will be ok". I try to look at this as a complement. That people truly believe that and they think I can do what i sent my mind too. Honestly I don't think I am all that tough...just don't have any other choice. So I have to make do with what I have. I love that new song by Gary Allen. I think it goes like this.." Every storm runs out of rain, just like every night time turns into day." Something close to that. I LOVE it. This storm will run out of rain. Thankful I am able to go visit and that Colton is a wonderful baby and all the love and support that we have. Ok so enough talking I will give you a little update about how Mr Colton is.
4 Months!!!!
Here are a few facts:
- Colton sleeps in his own crib (has since day he came home) and we recently had to put bumpers on cause he is a mover in his sleep. You wake up and will find him at the top of his crib. He has slept longer the last few days but usually 5 hrs is the max he sleeps at one time. He is also a morning person like Jeremy and is usually always up by 6.
- He has learned he has a voice and sometimes will just babble away
- He can't roll over yet (can get on his side), he can hold is head up really well
- He wears 6 months clothes and 9 months onesies at night
- He loves to chew on his fingers all the time...he is starting to teeth and has starting the drooling phase
- He LOVES bath time! He splashes in the water constantly and gets real excited
- His favorite book is either his dinosaur books or Goodnight Gorilla
- He still has cradle cap but we are working on it- The pediatrician has us trying new formula (Soy) because they are afraid he might have some form of eczema. We will see though and we have a few things to experiment with.
- He loves having his Clothes and Diaper changed as well as getting in his car seat (hope that lasts)
- He is really social - he loves someone to be around him all the time. He likes to be right near us when we eat dinner...etc.
- He loves his ball that has tons of holes in it. Probably his favorite toy...he can hold onto it and shake it
He is such a good little boy and we are so blessed to have such a cute and good little guy. I thank the lord every night for the blessing he has given us. LOVE HIM!
For his 4 month check out he was:
Weight 16 2.4 lbs - 71%
Height 26.9 in - 96%
- needless to say I think he might be a tall little boy
He has figured out that he has toes this week!
Love this little guy!
